USPS New Prices for 2018. Price changes to take effect Jan. 21, 2018. The new prices, if approved, include a one cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 49 cents to 50 cents.

Christmas Carols Forever Postage Stamps. The  U.S. Postal Service (USPS) celebrates the Holiday season with four new Forever stamps featuring images that illustrate a major theme of each of four beloved Christmas carols: “Jingle Bells,” “Deck the Halls,” “Silent Night” and “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.” Familiar lines from each song highlight the individual stamps. The shades of blue in the backgrounds of the stamps evoke the evening scenes from the four carols. This booklet of 20 stamps includes five of each design. The late Howard E. Paine was the art director. Artist Steve McCracken of Winchester, VA, created original art for the project.

U.S. Postal Service (USPS) New Commemorative Forever Stamp. The U.S. Postal Service issued a new Forever stamp honoring Father Theodore M. Hesburgh during a dedication ceremony on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, where he served as president for 35 years.

“The Postal Service is pleased to issue a new Forever stamp honoring Father Theodore Hesburgh, considered one of the most important educational, religious and civic leaders of the 20th century,” said Postmaster General and CEO Megan J. Brennan. “This stamp is a lasting testament to his pioneering contributions as a champion of social justice, an advocate for international aid and an emissary for peace.”]

“The Postal Service has a long tradition of showcasing flowers and floral artwork on stamps.  Flowers have been a perennial favorite, with hundreds of floral stamps released over the years,” said U.S. Postal Service Employee Resource Management Vice President Simon Storey. “Each of these stamps is a small masterpiece, or as we say in the Postal Service, miniature works of art.  And since they are Forever stamps, they will always be equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce price. These stamps will always be perfect for your birthday cards, thank-you notes, party invitations, wedding RSVPs and other important announcements.”

The Total Eclipse of the Sun Forever Stamps. Jim Cochrane, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer of the United States Postal Service dedicated the first-of-its-kind Forever stamp which transforms the solar eclipse image into the Moon from the heat of a finger. The Total Eclipse of the Sun Forever stamp commemorates the August 21 eclipse.
“With the release of these amazing stamps using thermochromic ink, we’ve provided an opportunity for people to experience their own personal solar eclipse every time they touch the stamps,” says Cochrane. “As evidenced by this stamp and other amazing innovations, the Postal Service is enabling a new generation to bridge the gap and tighten the connection between physical mail and the digital world.”
A total eclipse of the Sun occurs when the Moon completely blocks the visible solar disk from view, casting a shadow on Earth. The 70-mile-wide shadow path of the eclipse, known as the “path of totality,” will traverse the country diagonally, appearing first in Oregon (mid-morning local time) and exiting some 2,500 miles east and 90 minutes later off the coast of South Carolina (mid-afternoon local time) passing through portions of 14 states.

U.S. Postal Service Honoring Champion of Civil Rights. First-Day-of-Issue dedication ceremony for the Father Theodore Hesburgh Forever stamp. The Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, (1917–2015), longtime president of the University of Notre Dame, is considered one of the most important academic, religious and civic leaders of the 20th century.

USPS - Star Trek (TM) Forever Stamps
- Nearly 50 years to the day of its original airing, the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the iconic 1960s television show Star Trek by dedicating the Star Trek Forever stamps in New York City. The first-day-of-issue ceremony will take place at noon on Friday Sept. 2, 2016 and will officially launch Star Trek: Mission New York, a three-day celebration that is expected to draw thousands of Star Trek fans.

USPS (R) - NASA's Breathtaking Planet Images Get Stamps of Approval - Less than a year following NASA's nine-year, three-billion plus mile New Horizons mission to explore Pluto, the U.S. Postal Service dedicated Forever stamps to commemorate the historic event, while dedicating a second set of stamps depicting NASA's stunning images of our planets. "In 1991, the Postal Service issued a Pluto: Not Yet Explored stamp that served as a rallying cry for those who very much wanted to explore it," said U.S. Postal Service Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President David Williams in dedicating the stamps. "At the time, Pluto was still considered a planet, and it was the only one in our solar system that hadn't been visited by a spacecraft." Pluto is now officially designated as a dwarf planet. The Postal Service is issuing the Pluto-Explored! Souvenir sheet as a companion to the Views of Our Planets stamp pane.

USPS to Implement Sweeping Change - With the holiday season quickly approaching, companies who ship packages will have one more thing to add to their plate: The United States Postal Service (R) (USPS) will implement new shipping requirements that will affect 90% of the 3.5 billion packages delivered annually. Starting in January 2016, the USPS will require all parcel shippers to ensure the accuracy of delivery addresses through Delivery Point Validation. Currently, only 87% of packages are compliant and shippers are likely unaware of which addresses comply and which do not. In addition to the 9.5% price increase already set to go into effect on January 17, 2016, the USPS will extend the projected $0.20 per piece non-compliance fee to each parcel address that does not verify.

United States Postal Service - Camber Corporation was awarded a seven year, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with the United States Postal Service (USPS) with a ceiling value of $210M dollars. Under the Software Engineering and Development Services (SEDS) contract, Camber will provide software engineering and development services to multiple groups within the USPS enterprise.

New stamp - Canada Post will issue a stamp to mark the 100th anniversary of the poignant poem that made the poppy an international symbol of wartime sacrifices and has been recited in ceremonies for a century. "Our stamps reveal what is of value to Canadians – including what bonds us from one generation to another. This poem is written indelibly on our hearts in a way that helps us honour those who gave their lives in the service of this country," says Deepak Chopra, President and CEO, Canada Post.

USPS Next Generation Delivery - ZAP, an Electric Vehicle (EV) automotive company received pre-qualification notice from the United States Postal Service ("USPS") for its Next Generation Delivery Vehicle ("NGDV"). These very limited edition stamps were circulated with the recent issue of stamps mimicking the most famous stamp error in U.S. history.
